The service today at the permit assistance center was excellent.  The gentleman that greeted me was prompt, courteous and informative. I definitely did NOT feel like a number today. Thank You!

The market demontrates a small uptick in prices from April to May 2009.  I beleive this is a normal seasonal uptick and not necessarily and indicator of a market turn around.  While it’s still clearly a buyer market, the uptick is a good sign for sellers. Buyer’s continue to benefit from low interest rates and motivated seller’s.  Bank owned properties and bank approved short sales are very common keeping prices down.  The chart above shows the 12 month trend, which illustrates good news for buyers.  Buyers that have been holding out for greener pastures should move now.  If we haven’t hit the bottom of the market yet we probably will soon.  Rates have already started to rise
